Mt. Wolverine sits at the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon exactly 10,795 feet adjacent to Mt. Millicent and Mt. Tuscarora. I have tried to hike this peak every year since I had first worked at Brighton in 1999/2000 season. It’s a beautiful hike and the gateway to Alta via snowboard, Wolverine Chutes and Seagull Chute. Today Jesse Fryer and I hiked through the sun and eventually flat light and snow to reach the summit and down to Lake Mary. Adventures in the stillness and silence in the backcountry.
